Cooling Cucumber Face Mask

Ever wish for a spa facial in the quiet privacy of your own bathroom? Treat yourself to this luxurious face mask. Clay is a traditional ingredient in a mask recipe. It draws out impurities and soothes the skin. Notice that this recipe packages your product as a dry powder form. The user will add their own water to make a paste. For this reason, you do not need to add a preservative and the shelf life of your product will last much longer without the risk of mold growing.

In a large bowl you will mix all of these ingredients. Add each ingredient slowly with a whisk keeping each item free of clumps. Add your fragrance at the end with a dropper or carefully drizzle the liquid fragrance so that the entire mixture will be exposed to the fragrance. Scoop these into your containers and label properly. Offer instructions on your label that explains the product should be mixed with 1-part powder and 2 parts water to make a paste.

If you are using this product for personal use and want to mix the water and store it in the wet clay state, you can do this but with the introduction of water you will have to prevent mold and bacteria. If you choose not to use a preservative then keep your mask container in the fridge and throw it out in the same time period you would a container of food.
